If you are reading
this, by now you have probably already skimmed the words on the card in the
center of this photo. Those small words are so very true. They are meant for
you and everyone else who sees them. See, this very cool company, called So
Worth Loving,
continues to remind us of this fact: "you're worth it. On the good days
and the bad." It's also such a blessing to know of the grace God bestows
upon us everyday. He wants us to know that He is there for us at any moment,
and even when we don't feel like we are worth it; if we come to Him, it's that
simple. We are worth it to Him.
This lovely couple was photographed by Jenna Shriver at their family farm in York, PA. I was able to come along and assist Jenna on this maternity session and I will forever be in awe by that evening's sunset. The soft rays of light created a warm, summery glow; perfect for photos! It was a dream! And Matt and Jessica were so sweet, I was able to snap a few shots with my camera of them strolling through the grass. Head over to Jenna's blog to see the whole thing!
The Lord is good! I have been waiting for the right time and the right print to buy from Hand Lettering Co. and when my mother's birthday came up I knew this would be the opportune choice. Admiring the company's intricate typography designs from the moment I stumbled upon their Instagram (@handletteringco) led me to believe in great design with purpose and truth. It's such a blessing to see God's word decorated for His glory! The artist, Chris Wright, has an incredible talent to create this 'scripture art.' I look forward to many more pieces!
This is me enjoying a much needed coffee and a slice of Angel food cake. I have been limiting my caffeine intake for a while now and this was just heavenly.
Can't wait to give this precious gift to my mother soon!
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God
and whatever you do, in word or deed do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God the Father through Him."
Colossians 3:16-17
I genuinely wish that I could relive this gorgeous evening with one of my dearest friends from high school. Taking a fashion and textiles class with 12 other girls and one brilliant seamstress for a teacher, little did I know that I would make some great friendships and lasting memories. So, my girl, Sydney, asked me one day out of the blue if I take photography because she needed some head shots for a modeling agency. Straight away I told her that I definitely do, and that I would try to do a portrait session for her. We came up with the 'city vibe' photo shoot because I felt that would best match her style, and boy did it. I am in awe of the way these moments of time were beautifully paused for her to share. It was a blessing to catch up with her about life and what we were up to now, and I am so glad she gave me this opportunity.
Best friend? Check. Sunflower field? Check. Quick photo shoot? Check! Who doesn't love a field of flowers? Especially gigantic gold flowers of sunshine. I knew this would be the perfect outing to escape the house, teaming up with my friend Melissa and my other best friend, my sister, Savanna. Only one dollar and each of us went on a search to find the best looking stalk of yellow in the place. Guess who found the heaviest of them all? Savanna — I don't know how — cut the biggest one that day. We even all took turns holding it. This one shown above, easily masking Savanna's face, is the one — in all its shining glory.
I also snapped a few smiles of Melissa while we were there because the experience was just so fun. She just radiates that same golden happiness of the sunflowers. I love her and I love this day!
